5 Best Brunch Spots in Madrid

EatMyTrip Brunch and Cocktails

This cafe is definitely the most creative and the most aesthetic choice. The food here is absolutely gorgeous, and it tastes just as good as it looks. Brunch here will set you back 15-ish euros and it is worth every cent. It's also a bit off the beaten path, so you won't be stuck waiting in line as long as some of the other more famous cafes.

Cafe Federal

Just steps away from the Plaza Mayor is the Cafe Federal. If you’re an American missing iced coffee, this is the place to go. For being in the center, it’s pretty affordable - you can get brunch and a latte for 12€. They’re best known for their specialty coffees and avocado toast.

Carmencita Bar

In the trendy Malasaña neighborhood is the place where all of the homesick Americans would go to be reminded of home. They have everything you’d want in an American breakfast and best of all, they offer 1€ mimosas. It is a bit more expensive than the other options, and a meal here will cost about 15€. You’ll have to make a reservation in advance for the weekend brunch.

PumPum Cafe

Tucked away in the Lavapiés neighborhood is my favorite cafe on this list. And the most affordable! A brunch and drink here will cost you less than 8€. Their breakfast sandwiches are absolutely to die for! They usually have a long line on the weekends though, so I’d recommend going on a weekday when there’s less of a crowd.

Zenith Brunch and Cocktails

This is the perfect place to go if you feel like trying something different. Oreo pancakes, sweet potato toast, and eggs carbonara are just some of the menu items, and they’re all amazing. It’s in the same price range as Federal, and breakfast here is about 9€, while their coffees cost 3€.
